Location,
Travelling and Accomodation
The research meeting will take place
in the Bosch Areal in Stuttgart, Southwest Germany, in the
historical building where Robert Bosch, one of the legendary
entrepreneurs and inventors of the 19th century, started his
company and grew it into one of the major international players in
the automotive industry. Nowadays the building is home of MFG
Baden-Wuerttemberg, the center of excellence for IT and media
of the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, which is well-known as the
innovative economic hub of Germany with 10 mio. inhabitants, home
of Daimler Chrysler, Porsche, SAP, Heidelberg, Lake Constance and
the Black Forest.
Visitors who land at Stuttgart International Airport will be
impresssed by a fascinating landscape. Forests and trees account
for almost a quarter of the entire city area. The state capital
with about 500.000 inhabitants is a cultural attraction that
extends beyond regional borders. The State Art Gallery and its
post-modern architecture by James Stirling, brand-new Stuttgart
Museum of Arts, Mercedes Benz Museum, Opera House and Ballet
Company as well as the musical hall are world-known symbols of a
lively city.
